It's a question because what's the point in doing this if I'm going to be moving out in about a year anyway?

i'll be the one that says no. if you're looking to move and go back to school, is repainting your room before you move going to be a pain in the ass (since i'm assuming your parents will want the room redone when you leave).

i would say maybe do a small section or a closet door with chalkboard paint so you can doodle and draw and what not whenever you want. i used to have this on my doors, and it was sooooooo much fun. but i wouldn't go crazy doing you're entire room with something like the tangled art.
