To anyone who uses a Mac.....

I'm seriously considering investing in one when I get my tax return (because hell, I'm going to need a new computer soon anyway). What should I know before taking the plunge? What makes a Mac better than a regular PC?

I have a Mac...got one when I started college and it lasted 6 years before I got this one. I rarely had problems with it, though the hard drive fried to the point where I had to get it repaired (and it came back relatively quick). Happened again about 3 years ago, and they were able to fix it at the store.

I got it because I use Photoshop and video editing programs, and Macs run those well. It's also a lot easier to work with than a PC, I've found.

i grew up with macs, and switched to PC for college, and went back to a mac 2 years ago. i just think it runs better than my pcs ever did. things didn't work well on my pc, too virus ridden, even though i never downloaded anything questionable. i think it's definitely worth the cost.
