[The phone clicks off to a disgruntled murmur:]  Dammit, what have I gotten myself into.

[Clearing his throat, Akira speaks still uncertain of this whole matter.] This is just stupid.

"Wait.. a GUY needs a dress? Man, and I thought I was in a desperate situation. Phew.."

[Flustered.]

I'm not gay if that's what you're thinking. And I definitely don't need a guy's help.

[To be completely honest, Ema hasn't really given her new not!child much attention. She's been caught up in her own (frustratingly teenage) melodrama and in her investigation and categorization of the forensic data that she still has from the post office. Akira seems capable of taking care of himself--an important ability, in a house with Schuldig--so she's mostly left him alone but made it clear that she was available if he needed her. The system worked for Touma and Misaka, after all. And it seems to be working for Akira.

Overhearing Akira's end of the phone call, however, piques her interest. If nothing else, she can help.]

[Akira was good on his own, trained to take care of himself and the boarding school he didn't mind ignoring the other people in the house or being ignored. Preferred it, really. Except, Ema at least, just somehow made living here awkward.]

[The phone dropped from his hand at the voice and he spun around a moment turning faintly pink. Reaching down he picked up the phone to put up with a shrug.]

Eh-- It doesn't matter. Nothing major, he can deal if I don't.

[glowing_science]

Are you sure? I don't mind helping you out if you need one.

[After a pause of consideration, she adds:]

But it's up to you, Akira.

[She doesn't want to make things too awkward, after all. They're strangers, practically, especially since Ema makes it a point to be absent more often than present.]

[Scoffing brusquely at the thought.]

[But considering. He has to live with her it's not like he can keep it a secret forever.]

I've just never had to wear one before. Don't know why it's so important-- Ngh. No I do, but it's stupid to change wardrobe.

"If you need help finding a dress, I may be able to help. We can have Omoikane register what is a available locally and you can look at them without having to be seen in public. Or is this something else?"

Omoikane? Ah--Yeah. I'd rather not like other guys to see. Most of 'em if possible.

"I'll begin the scan. Meet me at 2242 Stevens Road sometime tonight and I can scan you in as well, then we'll be able to pull up holographic representations."
