[Lightly squeezing his hand, he squeezes his eyes shut briefly to try and forget about what happened the last time he was at the carnival. He needed to cheer Lea up.]

[After a second's hesitation, Lea tugs Demyx along. There's no particular rush, which is a change from pretty much every other day ever, and he just sticks close to Demyx.]

Oh yeah, I got somethin' I want you to try at my place too. I tried experimentin' with cooking last night 'n came up with something really good for once.

Uh... It's really weird, too. It looks kinda nasty but it's like the ugly duckling I guess. Looks really gross but it tastes super good.

I tried the whole little bits of chicken thing you showed me that one time--Kinda like popcorn chicken, I think? But I tried frying some up and it kinda... turned blue.

[Oh gosh, look at that embarrassment. But it's totally worth it to get a laugh or two out of Lea.]

Eh--H-Hey, wait--! W-What's so funny, man? I-I panicked when I was making it and it was the only stuff I had to soak it in!

[Whether he's embarrassed or not, Demyx pauses to wrap his free arm around Lea and pull him into a gentle hug. That laughing? Well, it's contagious judging by the slight grin on his face.]
