[A. Action for Housemates: Carrie has slowly been getting used to Mayfield. Very slowly. The most important thing she has to cope with, Mamma isn't here. Mamma isn't here so there's no one to yell at her, make her wear horrible clothing, lock her in her closet. But people show up here, and she doesn't have her power anymore. She's defenceless again

[Sealand makes a little startled noise--he was in the kitchen, but he pokes into the living room as soon as the lights go out. It's too dark for him to make out the details of the dress (namely, that it's covered in blood).]

[Karina is passing by yet again, but this time she stops and backtracks once she sees the pinecone rising into the air, and stares.

It's not out of disgust, or horror, or anything like that, though. Instead, it's interested, and rather amazed.]

[The pine-cone drops on the ground as Carrie turns to look, slightly panicked looking that she was seen.]

[She picks up the pine-cone, smiles at Carrie to reassure her that she means no harm.]

I have a power too. It's not the same as you, though. If you want, I could show you, but you'll have to keep it a secret.

[A pause and then she nods.]

[Crane is driving home from his evil laboratory work when he notices Carrie outside the church. Clearly, the only course of action here is to pull up to the curb and roll down the window.]

[Carrie freezes, as thought caught doing something bad but then glances over. Oh....not dad. A pause. Does she really want to trust him? No.

But it's just a ride home.]
