Despite not really getting a lot of stuff done today (not to mention the stuff I meant to get done and didn't even touch) I feel relatively accomplished.  I got all of my paperwork ready for my taxes and all I have to do is get my 1040EZ from mom in the mail and then I can sit down, fill that shit out and get my hundreds and hundreds of dollars ( Read more... )

All you need is proof of residency in Chicago. If you have any mail with your name on it (preferably a bill) and a photo ID that proves that is your name. I've gotten two in Chicago (two addresses...fines...whatever...) and used that same system and it worked just fine.

I love library cards.

That's what I figured but the website says a photo ID with your Illinois address and I don't have one of those. I'm still going to bring a bunch of shit and try, but I'm just saying that according to the website, I can't.

you can also use your lease... and the mail has to be less than 30 days old.

That's what I was planning on. It's just that "photo ID with your Illinois address" bit that makes me doubt. Well, I guess it says "Chicago" not "Illinois".

i think I used my Loyola ID at the time and that counted, though I'm not sure that would help you now.
