UPDATING THE BatB UNIVERSE TO NOW

Some fabulous ideas here! I love the idea of Father being from the military since Roy served in the RAF, I mean, I know we are updating but a nice nod, I think. And I still might may Paracelsus Father's friend since Tony was also in the RAF. I'm a sucker for fanservice easter eggs. I was so sorry to miss this chat. My thoughts are that there might be multiple underground groups in major Cities like in London (V for Vendetta), Washington DC, Boston, Paris. The communities are in contact with each other.

That's a fascinating thought. How would they find each other?
I think the V for Vendetta group might be a bit politically inclined, and Father and Mary would be fed up with that.
Not sure it's possible in DC. The water table's too high, and while there are basements, a Tunnel network wouldn't be livable. Certainly not possible in middle Tennessee, darn it.

I wasn't thinking a political group in London, just like people like the NYC group. There are many areas with Caverns too. People who are fed up with society as it is. People who live by the ideas Daniel Quinn brought forth in Ishmael. If the communities were hard wired via the net. I see the Central Park group as givers.

So thrilled to see others addressing this too- how to bring our story forward in time. For years I’ve “carried” the story, the people, the themes and symbolism, always with me in my mind, and am always puzzling (obsessing) over precisely this question. Such a huge relief to see that I’m not alone in trying to figure it out. Keep at it please! 🙏🏻❤️
