Romney vs. Thompson

Nov 17, 2007 18:11

There are two ways that we can look at the life issue: from a moral standpoint and from a legal standpoint. Thankfully, the pro-life side has the upper hand on both of these, but especially legally. Isn't the Mormon stance that abortion is usually wrong unless you get permission from your pastor?

I like most of his positions save illegal immigration. Too bad he won't win.

I think he's interesting in that he's the only candidate that is addressing what is practically a crisis situation in America, which is obesity.

I do, however, have issues with his seemingly lax immigration stance, and his support of the "Marriage = one man, one woman" deal. But other than that, he's pretty good, and I wouldn't hate to vote for him. I voted for him for governor once before, so it wouldn't be so much of a stretch.

scratch that. His economic policy is silly, at best. Abolishing all other taxes besides a 24% "fair tax" that pretty much punishes consumers in a capitalist market and is 10% lower than what would be needed anyway makes 0 sense.

I think this is all kind of funny, since I'm interested in more than someone's stance on abortion. I want the president to be "pro-life" in general.

Therefore, I'm voting for Kucinich.
