Some of my friends are prochoice but use safe sex because they "don't want to be out $400"

The manner in which she frames the issue doesn't fully appreciate what the pro-life case is. Are we to understand a "reproductive justice advocate" as "one who advocates on behalf of the unborn?" Otherwise, her remarks are limited to how inconvenient the experience of having an abortion is to her. The unborn isn't noteworthy enough to be factored into that assessment, because on her view, obliterating the unborn is no more significant than, say, getting a root canal.

It goes without saying that this view would be not at all incompatible with equating the fetus as little more than a "parasite," as some radicals are wont to do, but if she intends to style herself as a person who at all sympathizes with the pro-life cause, she hasn't really understood what "pro-life" even means.

I have no problem with it. Assuming she's a pro-choicer, I wish there were more who thought like her.

No one thinks prochoicers recommend abortion over contraception. Nothing new here.

If abortions were free, painless, and you got a lollipop afterwards, she wouldn't have made that statement.
