NY Phil in the Park

At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to go see the NY Phil in Central Park this evening. Most other people cancelled due to the extreme heat and the threat of rain, and I certainly don't blame them, but I'd braved the heat last night for the Bryant Park movie, and I'd definitely been looking forward to this concert much more than I'd been looking ( Read more... )

That sounds awesome, thanks so much for writing about it! Even the parts with rain sound fun. I really wish I could have gone, so I hope I make it to NY Phil in the park next summer.

Considering the crap that happened in my 'hood though, I think it's better that I was home. :( Thanks for understanding my wussy-ness. How did you fare in terms of electricity, etc?

If the weather is nice, would you like to meet in Bryant Park for lunch tomorrow, 1PM? I need to go to the library again.

Thankfully, I haven't experienced any power issues. I watched that video and I can't believe power lines are just bursting into flames! And I can't believe they mentioned nothing of the underground fires. Has anyone been hurt in the explosions?

No one that I've talked to on my block has mentioned any injuries. If anyone has gotten hurt, I'm not sure how I would find out since the News has told us basically nothing!
