Mary, where do these Friday Five things come from?

1. What’s the most embarrassing thing/job you’ve had to do to earn money? I'm not easily embarrassed, though when I started working at Borders as a lowly Barista, it would embarrass me sometimes when people I knew in high school would come in.

The easiest way to save money is to set up an automatic savings program. Either have part of your paycheck directly deposited into a savings account or set up an automatic transfer. Then you don't have to remember to save, that money's just not there for you to spend. And there's no budgeting involved, besides the initial decision of how much you can afford to put aside.

I had almost forgotten about that! The entire story is pretty funny... after the fact. Also, I enjoy the phrasing of buying my car through a post.
