Teeny tiny baby steps...

... as long as their FORWARD, they're good. :) I resisted getting "breakfast" or any type of "coffee" thing this morning again, and I'm so proud of myself. Yay! That's two days in a row. And, today's was after doing a 20-minute MRI (I am SO claustrophobic!). Yay for progress!

what do you mean getting any kinda breakfast thing? are you just saying you don't want to buy starbucks coffee drinks or something?

i always find it difficult to resist those urges. it's sooo easy to just turn your car into the drive thru.

My weakness lately if I have the car and am out and about (for doc appts, etc.) in the morning is to go through a drive thru (McD's has been my latest guilty pleasure) and grab a breakfast sandwich or burrito and some type of coffee drink (Frappes, etc.).

With my high triglycerides, I'm not supposed to be eating egg that often, and I'm supposed to be staying away from pork completely because it's so salty and fatty. All of that stuff is bad for me, but it's comfort food. And, I'm ALWAYS hungry in the middle of the morning, which is when I tend to do this.

So, one of my big goals this month is to RESIST getting any of that stuff. Well, I guess it's two of my goals - one is to resist getting food and the other is to stay away from caffeine.

I've let myself get away with it for too long, and this week, I've managed to resist it two days in a row, which is big for me. :)
