Kettlebell or Kettleball?

Now, you may not think it matters, but I pondered the nomenclature aspect of the equipment today. Chris called it a “bell” but I definitely think it’s shaped like a “ball.” No idea whence comes the kettle. No ringing, no cooking within, no bouncing
