I have never been one to focus on holidays. I take note of New Year's, and I somewhat enjoyed the observation of setsubun, in my home, but Christmas was never particularly important to me. Respect-for-the-Aged Day is... well. It isn't uncalled for, anyway.

[Small girl, white hair, towel settled firmly atop her head. Her hair is perfectly dry, as is the towel, so Lord knows why it's there. She looks deepy unsettled, to the point of agitation. This afternoon, I skinned my knee upon pavement. It stings even now and is somewhat purple aside from the actual scrape. I've got a bruise. [And though you can't see her legs, she does seem to be looking down and prodding at it.] Sore, if you touch it. That kind of thing.
