Kadaj has been getting free board at the school, and I've been sneaking in and staying with him. As a result, we've spent nothing other than what we needed for food since I started doing the same type of thing you're doing now. Consider what I've been collecting something of a rainy day fund for when Kadaj inevitably gets kicked out.
[Actually they'd been spending nothing on rent before Kadaj went to the school, which was only a short while ago. Living rough meant you had few expenses, even if it was a little harsh. But he wasn't going to admit that.]
It's not nearly near what you need, but it'll reduce how long it'll take you to get what you need. If you want it, that is.
