I took a cruise to Galveston today with the top down. Apparently the cd player was exposed to direct sunlight for the majority of the drive, and the touch screen was significantly warmed/heated to the point where the player began to act somewhat bizarrely. Among other things, I recall that the volume knob would show the volume setting changing, but the sound level did not decrease accordingly. I think I need to fabricate some sort of cover that I can throw over the unit for extended top-down driving to prevent it from being exposed to harsh direct sunlight.
