The presentation was a success!

The presentation last night went great. Far better than I expected. I recognized only ahkond and an editor I knew from O'Reilly (and who I was in contact with last year about this-n-that) as people who showed up specifically to hear me, but there were maybe 30-35 people all told. Everyone seemed attentive, and as soon as I got to the slides with code

I enjoyed it, and if I were a game designer I'd be interested in volity implementation, but being reminded of perl things has made it clearer to me why perl never really turned me on (in a nutshell, it's too damn cryptic). I think I'm going to try porting my recreational perl vanity project from perl to Python, just to see what happens.
