Oh I like that! (Mine, I mean, 'cause I'm selfish and it's all about me! Plus I've never been into Farscape fic (not sure why) and I've so very much fallen out of Buffy fic.) It's in keeping with the book and the characters. Of course, now I just want more! (There just isn't enough Heyer fic around.) Why are there so few Heyer readers/writers around?

Heyer is tricky, yeah. Like finding decent Wimsey or Jeeves and Wooster you have to get everything right as you said which makes it difficult.

Farscape I only ever watched bits of, it appealed to me by being often surreal and at the same time quite dark but I never really got into watching it regularly. I'd love to have the DVDs but they cost a fortune!

Farscape was brilliant with a mix of so many things - they excelled at broad, wacky comedy and moving angst, and action adventure, and just being spectacularly pretty. But it wasn't for casual viewing...which doesn't help you. I don't have my season 1 DVDs on me, but might be able to arrange for you to borrow them at some point.

Thank you kindly! I found myself writing tight Spike (er, it's late for me) not entirely intentionally, because I know he's all angles, a problematic character to write, so I'm glad he worked for you here.
