I bought the season four DVDs full price the day I got my top set of braces off and I am not in the least bit ashamed of it.
Loved Ryan and Taylor and Seth and Summer just owned my heart.... "you're undeniable"... And I thought the last episode was really, really well done...I was spoiled for the last line and it still made me cry!
Just realised I deleted my Jimmy/Haley icon... I shipped them so much and hated how they wrote out Haley... And. I just posted a link to a fic it big bang, no, I will not....
For me, although there was much that was excellent about the show and that I loved to bits, there were also less brilliant bits that put me off buying the DVDs. While I enjoy watching soapy dramas, I'm less likely to buy them than other genres that I watch.
Ryan/Taylor owned my heart - I have just spent several minutes watching clips - but I did care for and root for Seth/Summer.

If you mean for you, I...went blank, apart from being sure that there were more situations you'd want to fix than, what was it, three?
If you mean for me, I...went blank, beyond thinking that that was a word count that I'd love to reach. There are situations that I want to fix, but I usually get inspired to write a vignette at best.
I loved "The OC". Or, at least, I loved season one, and then gradually fell out of love with it because of Marissa. The show seemed to expect me to care about her myriad dramas, and I couldn't give a fig. I still haven't seen season four. I watched season one again recently though, and I was delighted by how much I loved it all over again. Hating Julie to begin with, and then gradually looking more and more forward to whenever she turned up. Loving every scene with Caleb and Sandy in it. And Anna - she was terrific. Why did they get rid of her? This made no sense. And Jimmy. I really missed him when he left. Sandy was my favourite character, but they had such a good cast all round (except Marissa).
I rather like the idea of Anna as a werewolf. It would suit her, in a peculiar kind of way!
Season 1 was a constant, pleasant surprise. Marissa did drag the show down for me too. I liked her the most when she was in a relationship with Alex (this may partly be driven by my not wanting her for Ryan) because she started to have to take responsibilty for herself. But it didn't last. I rarely had the sympathy for her character that the show wanted me to have
