Late comment is late, but I wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed the poignancy of this piece.

Now - there have been so many time zones, so many places where they could have lost each other - he holds on to Cassie just as tightly.

I love how you cover the development of their relationship in one sentence. Beautiful!
