Your first line had me thinking that someone was dead... or close to it. But then when I thought about the summary, I figured that wouldn’t make any sense. Unless this conversation was covered in flashbacks. Then it could work. And then I realized that I’d spent all this time just thinking about what might or could be, and it would probably make more sense to just read the story already ( ... )

Your first line had me thinking that someone was dead... or close to it. That honestly didn't occur to me until the day before I posted it and I wondered if people might read it that way (and maybe I kept it in, because at least the M/A reader could go "well, he's alive, that's good, right?")

I have a feeling he could do both in a single encounter, and in that order.

I liked how Alec was honest and blunt, but without being her doormat. I don't like Doormat!Alec, and while not wanting to dismiss the commitment he's made to Terminal City (in Freak Nation, and expanded in the books) because it's a big step for him, I think if he realised his feelings for Max and she didn't reciprocate, that he would up and leave rather than stay indefinitely and let her walk all over him. Particularly if she's still clinging to Logan.
