I liked your review. I generally get caught up in the plot first and have to watch again before I start noticing things like camera angles and pacing. I agree with you about Claire and Hiro.
Thank you! I notice some stuff in passing, but things like pacing usually only crystallise as I'm turning my thoughts into a review the next day. As for camera angles, I will notice swoopy camera movement (please note the use of the technical term :)) or anything out of the usual.
They have indeed just started airing Heroes on our SciFi channel (which is only available to digital/satellite viewers. It hits terrestrial TV, which everyone can get in the early summer.) So, we'll see how it goes. Have you been following it closely?
Around New Year's I had a day-long marathon catchup, and since then I've been watching it weekly. I love it, but I wonder if I missed some things in the 8-hour haze.
Well, there are advantages to marathons - patterns and links are clearer, and you have none of the confusion of not remembering what happened 'last week', but, like you say, it can become a bit of a blur, without the planned-for gaps of pondering and supposing 'what happens next'.
