I liked how you dove right into the story. I loved how you made Max come back as a ghost and I loved she wouldn't keep to the ghosts-rules and be her stubborn, persistent self. Really loved that. Also, how you portray Alec.
I don't know how you do it, but you capture characters so very, very well - with the risk of sounding terribly cheesy - it makes my heart swell. I like your dialogue, it is straight-forward, honest and it "clicks", if you get my gist.
Loved that line in particular, wonderful how you capture Alec's character and his realisation here: "Thanks for getting shot up like that. I got a fucking useless epiphany when I saw your body."
