In Which Tense Change is Hilarious (At Least for Kay)

Two anecdotes:

1. If I have ever wondered where part of my own paranoia comes from, it definitely came from Dad. Every time we're in separate rooms, e.g. I'm in the kitchen and he's in his room, he always has to peek out of his room and call, "Is that you?" to make sure I'm not some random burglar making a sandwich. LOL, my dad and I have conversations like that, too, but usually involving stores' and friends' names. And various people in our lives have a field day with the way he pronounces things. He can speak English pretty well, but his accent can make things interesting. Though, honestly, some of the funniest shit comes from when I have to spell things for him. I'm not talking the usual B and D sounds, but letters that sound almost nothing alike, like S, F, X, and V. Then when I began spelling the word(s) using Spanish sounds, it just completely derailed into zones where no letter has gone before.
