I'm pretty sure it hasn't been done before... I was thinking about doing a John challenge. B&W or color, text or not - the only limitation is that the icon has to feature *only* John and non of the other characters. :)

Sorry if it lacks some creativity.. I'm rather sick and my brain isn't working at full capacity right now..

It's okay. My question is, should it only be of the character John, or can people submit icons of that actor in other roles other than John (I suggest the former)?
