* Fleta requested: "If you can make it so John and Bailey come to England to live/work and run into Jack/Ianto from Torchwood and have a cool dialog... even get recruited... :)"
If you like the looks of Jack/Ianto you might not want to watch Torchwood: Children of Earth or Torchwood: Miracle Day. I love the original un-subtitled show, but I'd say once they started messing with the format and title the storytelling really went to hell.
This is great! l'm really intrigued by Torchwood and Jack/Ianto after reading your fic and fleta's fic and I think I'll have to check it out (at least the pre-TW:CoE series). I think Bailey and John would fit in with these two rather nicely!
So it was totally worth "hijacking" my post? *Bats eyelashes.*
I'm really intrigued by Torchwood and Jack/Ianto...
Part of me is thrilled to hear that because I really love Classic/Original/Un-subtitled Torchwood, and Jack/Ianto. Part of me feels like I owe you an apology. I still feel really badly burnt by how the show collapsed. x_x
...I think I'll have to check it out (at least the pre-TW:CoE series).
I heartily endorse pre-TW:CoE. If I haven't said, and-or made clear with my icons, Jack/Ianto do become canon on the show. One of reasons I like to forget, for the most part, that TE:CoE and everything after it exists is how one of the many things that got ruined in TW:CoE is the boys' relationship.
I think Bailey and John would fit in with these two rather nicely!
So the good seasons of TW are season 1 and 2, right? A few people on my flist watch the show so I've been kind of following vicariously, and their opinions on what happened in TW:CoE was very similar to yours - I won't go into details here in case anyone who's following this is spoiler-free, but it sounds like what was done to the characters and the relationships was pretty horrible.

*Nods.* Right. The only episode of Torchwood to ever get a Hugo nomination was the first season episode titled "Captain Jack Harkness." It also happens to be one of my favorites.

Heh. I've heard someone else talking about TW:CoE say, "Torchwood didn't just jump the shark with CoE, it machine gunned a whole school of them." I know I'm not alone. :D

Very interesting idea to cross these two universes. I'll be interested to see where this goes!
