Great piece! I do like Nathan raising questions about Sam like that. I hope you'll write a sequel that deals with when Nathan learns Jack is real :)

I think it would be neat to see his thoughts and maybe Jack saying some things which Nathan doesn't tell the VCTF, IMO.

I always thought that Nathan, as the lawyer, ought to have played a bigger role as a skeptic in the series. There should have been one person who really disbelieved Sam (and it looked like it was going to be John before he went all "I heart Sam") and I think that Nathan, as a practical man who deals in facts, would have had the most questions about Jack's existence.

There might be a sequel in the works. I'll have to see what Nathan has to say about it ;)

thanks! glad you enjoyed it. like i was telling meg, i think there should have been skeptic in the bunch regarding jack's sole fixation on sam and i think it could have been nathan-- then we would have served SOME useful role before he disappeared from the show entirely!

Wow such a wonderful piece :) I think you captured everything so well :)
And it is nice to see stories with Nathan who is so rarely used.

Thanks! I think I'm going to do what Meg suggested, which is write about Nathan's point of view AFTER Jack dropped the car on him and how he has to revise his opinion based on the fact that he now knows that Jack exists.

I'm glad you liked it! I think Nathan really should have been the skeptic on the show and he just blindly fell in behind Sam-- doesn't seem like him, does it?

Oh, I definitely think it was more than that. not only does he get mad at Sam but he yells at her for her apologies. i get the sense that he's really pissed off at the fact that she constantly takes responsibility for jack, as if she can't help what he does. i always wanted to see more of that tension between them and then he just disappeared.

(wonder whatever happened to michael whaley anyway? will have to check IMDB).
