The Avenue with Adrienne (RPG with themonsterchild

Jul 23, 2007 18:42

Aiden was, for all intents and purposes, hanging around the Green Park tube station. He was waiting patiently for Adrienne, and once she arrived, he was going to take her to The Avenue. He'd heard good things about it, and he figured it was a good public place to take someone out ( Read more... )

She stepped off the train, looking for all intents and purposes completely nervous and yet excited at the same time. Her palms were sweaty as she climbed the steps with the other people, hustling and generally living their lives.

She was still dressed in her lab coat and work clothes (she hadn't have time to change after work, they'd been busy beyond belief) but she had with her a bag of clothing and a little makeup. God, she wanted to make the right impression.

Her heart pounded in her chest as she reached the top, her eyes running about the station looking for him. Her breath caught as she spotted him, reading a book. Taking a deep breath she walked over to him, willing herself to calm down; "H-hey..." she said quietly, cursing the fact that she stuttered.

"Mmm... I hope so" she grinned, grinning even more; "I told you, I am my father's daughter, they don't call me Monster for nothing, you know" He realised he would probably not get that reference but she'd make sure to explain to him at some point during the night.

He let himself be led, glad for his presense around her, feeling safe and vaguely calm now. She sighed in relief as he guided her to a quiet table and was glad that the bar wasn't busy, she still had a severe dislike for crowds. "I'm really glad I'm not wearing my lab coat anymore" she laughed softly, trying to start a conversation when they'd sat down. Yes, very random.

He grinned, shaking his head a little. "They call you Monster?" he asked, "I hope that's a term of endearment." Not that he doubted it, as she was smiling.

He grinned at her fully. "I still like the lab coat, but this is... very very nice as well." He touched her arm gently, then took her hand gently. "Thank you for meeting me, Adrienne. I'm glad that we decided to do this."

She laughed softly; "Yes, it is a term of endearment. They call my brother, Demon. It's their idea of love. I find it ironic, I love them."

"My lab coat isn't something you go out in. But thank you. I'm glad you like this, my favourite colour is purple" she grinned, fingering her sleeve. The fabric was soft, comforting, her black trousers and smart shoes the same. Yes, she felt safe, and that was really something; "I'm glad we decided to do this too..." she ran her thumb over the back of his hand, looking into his eyes softly, a little shy.

"Monster and Demon," he laughed. "That's absolutely adorable. And it does seem ironic. You don't seem like any kind of monster to me, after all."

Smiling he looked down at her hand on her sleeve. "The colour suits you very well." She really did look good. He matched her gaze, turning her hand over in his and kissing her palm softly.

"Hmmm... I don't know, I can be" she winked at him, teasing. "My brother matches up to his nickname a little more than me though."

"Thank you" she blushed, blushing even more as he kissed her palm. She reached up, brushing her fingers across his chin, feeling the slight stubble there.

"I imagine you CAN be," he grinned, "but overally, you aren't."

He smiled and closed his eyes for a moment, then kissed her fingertips. "So, drinks?" he asked softly.

"No, overly I'm not" she laughed softly, blushing a little. Although she was blushy around her she was also bolder than she had been around anyone else in a long while, she was actually teasing and that was quite something!

She almost moaned as he kissed her fingertips but managed some how to hold it in, nodding at his question; "Yes, please. Whiskey and Coke, please" She had developed her father's love of whiskey but she could never drink it neat. She reached into her wallet and pulled out a £10 note, handing it to him.

He grinned at her, just damn happy to be here with her, and pleased that she seemed comfortable with him.

He shook his head. "Put your money away. I asked you out, I'm paying," he smiled, standing to go to the bar. He kissed her cheek softly and then headed up.

It didn't take long to get their drinks and he came back, setting them on the table and sitting back down.

"Yessir" she said softly, smiling as he kissed her cheek. He watched him leave, her eyes running over him and she let her smile get a little wider. Yes, he was dangerous, but in a good way, and she most definitely could fall quickly for him. It was like he was perfect for her and the thought was as unnerving as it was exciting.

She smiled as he came back; "Thank you" She picked up her glass and sipped a little of it, grateful for the burn in her throat. It had been quite a while since she had drank any alcohol, she hoped she wouldn't make too much of a fool of herself. She probably wouldn't drink anymore tonight.

"You're welcome," he said softly, watching her drink before picking up his own, taking a long sip and smiling at her. "I don't do this too often, so I'm a lightweight," he laughed.

She watched him as he watched her, unable to believe that someone like him was here with her and was actually taking interest in her. He actually liked her! She laughed as he did; "Yes, me too, it must be the best part of a year since I last drank any alcohol, so I apologise in advance if it goes straight to my head!"

"Oh, we'll be amusing as shit together then," he laughed. Not that he minded. As long as he was here with her, he could act like a complete idiot, and he wouldn't mind. "And if it goes straight to your head, I could always just take you back to my place and let you rest on my sofa until you feel better."

"Or you can just take me back to your place" she murmured, almost to herself, blushing a little and laughing. She took another sip of her drink and grinned at him, raising one eyebrow just a little, teasing

He snickered and shook his head a little. "Evil little woman. I'm beginning to see how you fit the nickname 'Monster' now." He winked to let her know he was completely teasing. "And really, that's an idea. I mean, not for anything dirty, but if you get sick of the crowd, we could go watch a movie or something?"

She laughed and grinned; "Mmmhmm" she winked back at him, teasing him back. She reached out and brushed over the back of his hand with her fingers, taking another sip of her drink. "That sounds like a good idea, actually. The crowd isn't too big at the moment, but if it get's too much, I'll let you know. Well you'll probably know before I tell you, I tend to get twitchy, a little panicky" she looked down and blushed.
