This is something I've been thinking over a bit--particularly yesterday, as I was going back in a desperate search for an older post. And the awesomely-named iseepurplehair (seriously, I love your username) just mentioned this, so I thought I'd go ahead and put it to the comm.

Do you guys think we should start tagging posts on the comm?I've already seen a few

some communities really have the tagging thing DOWN PACT
I'm not in the geass comm myself but I know their tagging system is pretty impeccable, so I would suggest taking a look at that to get an idea of what you're looking for.

I do want to request a nice layout for this comm, myself!

Oh wow, that is about as comprehensive a system as you can get 0.0 That would definitely make things easier to find. Another community I'm in also has tags for individual artists and authors (it was a comm specifically for fanworks).

That would be awesome! *fails at Photoshop* Maybe someone would be willing to make us one...

I don't think we need to go as far as tagging artist names, but if you follow the same system as geass, I do suggest some major ones like

info: game_name_here: mediahere
so for example,
info: professor layton and the curious village: news
or
info: professor layton and the last time travel: merchandise

etc

then the obligatory
fanart: charactername
fanart: pairing
fanfic: (seeabove)

and also
icons: gamename
spoilers: gamename
translations: whateverapplies here

and so on, you see it can become very detailed and easy for people to find what they are looking for!

I think it might be overly extensive to tag pairings and characters and genres and stuff like that x__x; And there will always be new artists and fanfic writers who join the community so I think tagging them by username might be kinda... difficult as well? OTL

Although I do agree with code geass's tagging system of sorts - the TWEWY comm has a tagging system like this as well, though slightly neater. I personally like their tagging system very much - it's neat, uncluttered, and you can still find all the stuff you want.

Also PL's game titles tend to be too damn long XD;; so prolly just like... idk shorten them or something?

etcetc lol I totally ripped off the TWEWY one but I like it so much >>; I'd use "game: machi", "game: akuma no hako" because I'm a weeaboo like that but most people wouldn't know the original release title, so... XD

But whatever you do with it, it'll be awesome. :D

Yay! I actually kinda started going back and doing just some very basic tags last night--mostly labeling things. Things like fanwork: art, and the like :D I have a weird affection for organizing this kind of stuff!
