My musical muse hit me on the back of the head with the force of a sledgehammer after I read sam_cc's fanfic "Trail of Gossip" (which you can read here).

The piece is called "Together" and is a sweet nod to the ending of the fic (I hope it fits!)

Thank you somuch for taking the time to make something like this. No one's ever done anything like this for me before and I'm shocked to think that one of my stories could inspire someone that much. :3

It's definitely a very fitting piece of music to two characters talking about their feelings and, even though it works perfectly for Layton/Emmy in this example, I have a feeling I might play it while musing other things too. XD

Thanks, I’m so glad you liked it. I had a lot of fun doing it. :D There was something about the scene that just “clicked”; I could imagine I was right there alongside Layton and Emmy. I wish my music writing was more reliable, though, it tends to be a fickle process. If it wasn’t so unpredictable I’d be able to write more music for your fics. One day I’ll go to university and learn how to compose music properly, lol.

This is beautiful. Not only is it perfectly fitting for the scenario, but it's just incredibly sweet and lovely as a singular piece. It matches the scene you composed it for wonderfully, and I really love the choice of instruments. You're so talented!

Aw, thank you so much. :D I did rather like the thought of Emmy and Layton sitting down and getting together the way they did in the fic. I wouldn’t say I was particularly talented though… I wish I could write music as easily as writing this paragraph, but my brain doesn’t always want to co-operate, heh.
