Okay, so this part is awesome because

- Layton gets to speak to Claire
- Bill gets comeuppance
- Phoenix Wright reference
- Dimitri gets together with Claire

Basically, this part had everything I wanted to happen happen all at once. The scene with Layton and Claire was very touching and felt like good closure for Claire; and the bit where Dimitri and Claire finally get together was equally heartwarming. :)

Oh, and I imagined Bill tearing his hair out and smashing his glasses in his hand, doing a villainous breakdown like the culprits in Ace Attorney, ha.

Haha, your bulletpoints look a lot like the bulletpointed list I had prior to writing this chapter for prompt, actually. XD Well, except the Phoenix cameo, that sort of happened as I was writing it because it seemed to fit.

I really think that Claire needed closure on the Layton front after so many years, but at the same time I wanted her and Dimitri to be happy and I think that Claire's happiness would have been what Layton wanted too, so really that was why I ended it the way I did.

Ohhh yes, totally Ace Attorney style breakdown for Bill. And I could imagine his own trial had even more of them. >3
