I was browsing the music section in a local store and stumbled upon the CD of Cirque du Soleil: Quidam for all of one dollar. It turns out that several of the songs on the CD have a ...I dunno..Laytony feel to them. The combination of sad thought-provoking notes and accordion music brought feelings of the game into my heart, so

It is from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, and the icon was created by lesinfonie! I can't look at it without giggling!

Thank you for the music! <3 Definitely has a Laytonish feel.

As for other Laytonish music, I highly recommend the Amelié soundtrack as kuribojump mentioned above. And I haven't heard everything yet but the band DeVotchKa has a few songs with a strong gypsy/carnival sound to it with lots of accordions and strings. When I hear some more I can make specific recommendations.
