BACK AGAIN. BUT THIS TIME WITH ACTUAL WORDS FOR YOU.

For the past few weeks, I've been getting one of my roommates into Doctor Who. It's been awesome to SPREAD THE GOSPEL, and though I found the beginning of the series a bit slow with so many rewatches, by the time I hit Father's Day I was like "OH SHOW, MY SHOW."

I spend a lot of time talking about ( Read more... )

She's loving it! She's not particularly vocal about it, so I always assume she's humoring me, but then she'll come into my room and ask if I'm free to watch the next episode, and after we finished s1 I caught her raving about it to her dad, and saying he'd really like it. =]

Awwwww, I say you've gotten her hooked! In the short time since I've started watching Doctor Who, I've gotten more people watching this show than any other show. I think it's the wide audience it appeals to. Love it. <3.

I can't wait until she watches s2! You'll have to keep us updated!

You make my heart sing, Leah.

...And I think it's an old Billie Piper song.

Never ever stop being fabulous, gurlfran.

NIIIIIIIIIIINE! Oh I long for the days of S1 and my Team TARDIS. I love them in Boom Town because they are so gelled and together and amazing and friends and just... *happy sigh* You make me want to rewatch it all again.

See, that's why I don't really have a favorite Doctor. Each one sort of bleeds into the next. Sure, they all have different mannerisms and quirks and such, but they're all the same person. I love each one individually, but no more or less than the next.

The Brattle played End of Time last weekend. I am decidedly not a fan of End of Time (okay, I despise it), but I went because I wanted to support the Brattle playing DW. Anyway, I was really taken aback by how happy I was to see Jack at the end of EoT. When I first watched EoT, CoE was still fresh in my mind and I was irritated by everything TW-related, but I'd forgotten about CoE on the re-watch and he showed up and I was struck by how delighted I was to see him, by how much I've missed him. I wish his character hadn't been ruined so much that I could never see him coming back to the show, because I'd love for him to just drop by every so often and make me smile. John Barrowman has a very powerful charm.
