Oh, no! It's a pilot for a TV show. So they'd be hypothetical costars. So I suppose behind the scenes of the thing I am writing, there COULD be RPF? But that's not the project.
Mel's lovely description: "IT WOULD TAKE PLACE IN A SMALL SEASIDE TOWN IN THE 20'S, CENTERED AROUND BILLIE AS A YOUNG AND ENTHUSIASTIC BUT NOT VERY GOOD BAKER AND DAVID, THE WEALTHY NEWCOMER WHO HAS A SUDDEN DESIRE TO BECOME A BAKER'S APPRENTICE WHO, IN THE MIDST OF DELICATELY TRYING TO WOO AND SEDUCE AND BEFRIEND SAID BAKER, SHOWS A SURPRISING ABILITY TO MAKE EDIBLE BREAD, AND THE CITIZENS AROUND THEM WHO TOLERATE HER TERRIBLE CAKES AND THINGS BECAUSE SHE'S SO ADORABLE AND SWEET AND ALSO THEY ENJOY INTERFERING WITH HER LOVE LIFE. IT WOULD BE AN HOUR LONG AND AIR SATURDAY'S AT 9 ON THE BBC."
OF COURSE, BB. WOULDN'T DREAM OF EXCLUDING SOMETHING SO VITAL.
He gets it all over his nice tweed jackets, too. And she tries to tell him he doesn't have to dress up for her and he blathers on about what one must do in the presence of a Lady.
And I will read it and love it! ♥ Now, for the all-important question: what accent will DT be sporting in this fic? His native Scottish, or an English accent?
English then...but more refined than his DW accent, I'm guessing, since he is wealthy (possibly a bit like his John Smith HN/FoB accent)? I don't know why, but I'm obsessed with the way characters sound...
Seriously, this sounds completely enchanting. I can so picture it.

As a compromise, you should read Feeling Electric. IT'S NOT AS GOOD AS BRUCE BUT IT WILL HELP?
