FREEMA LOOKS GORGEOUS IN EVERY SHOT. I googled 'Martha Jones' and this was one of the first results. And like, GOD FREEMA. STOP STEALING ALL THE PRETTY. LEAVE SOME FOR THE REST OF US.

I have the s3 DVDs and the BBC promo shot team did their very best to make Freema look her worst in all of the shots used, but when she is not being made to fake-run, yeah, she's completely gorgeous. THAT BITCH. lirl

Very thoughtful analysis of your own character in re: Martha and Rory! I totally empathize with most of what you said. This: Martha lets everyone walk all over her because she feels as though the whole universe is her responsibility-- if she doesn't give them her time and attention, who will?

Is very descriptive of me in early twenties. Now, in my late twenties, I only let myself be a doormat for the ones I truly love. ;)

I've been thinking of which character I'm most like, and I honestly do think I'm Amy. I'm definitely not as adventurous as she is; much more like Rory there! But the way she's so outspoken and has a tendency to bulldoze over people when she isn't being careful? Me all over it. I constantly have to remind myself to slow down and not take it for granted that the people who know me best won't be offended because they're used to me.

I love that quote of Rory's SO F'ING MUCH! Rory's inability to step back and call Amy on her crap does annoy the hell out of me sometimes (e.g. she kisses the Doctor, Rory gets pissed at the Doctor, Rory tags after Amy like a puppy dog just hoping she'll choose him, WTF), but then we see multiple times that that blindness doesn't extend to others beyond Amy. Rory's very perceptive, and will call it like it is, in most instances. It's nice to see him use that against the Doctor.
