Tomorrow is another day

Small earthquake out here.  They're all different--you could hear a slight rumble, but mostly a loud POOOOM! sort of sound and a shock as though someone had run a large truck into the wall behind my house.  The cats hated it.  But it seemed to be over quickly and I convinced them it was cool, and now it's as though it never happened.

Also, I went ( Read more... )

They are keeping Taylor? How'd they decide on that? I'm so out of the loop.

Just stopping in to gloat--I HAD TWILIGHT RELATED NEWS BEFORE YOU DID MWAHAHAHAHA. My sister told me about Taylor when I got home from class today.

Not that I blame you. There's a cute baby where you are.

Chris Weitz made a press release on Wednesday that Taylor Lautner was "emotionally right" for the part. Stephenie Meyer also takes credit for the decision. . . I was going to say "typically" takes credit for the decision.

I'm guessing it's part Lautner himself, who busted his hump to keep the role, and part screaming fangirls, who signed a kazillion petitions and sent them to Summit, saying "OMG you can't recast Taylor, we will hate U." Or it may have been my one pathetic signature, adding "I cannot believe I am signing this, but keep the kid anyway."

How behind am I, since I didn't even know they were considering a different actor for Jacob? (I would have been very NOT HAPPY if they'd gone ahead with that. Taylor Lautner is EXACTLY how I pictured Jacob when reading the books and....*melts into a puddle of fangirlish goo*)

Very, very glad they saw sense though.

I agree with you about the 'what you like in a legacy' topics. It's really is very discouraging even though I think the only "OMG HATED" thing I have is the absent celings. My very, very first legacy which I started like a long time ago went kaput when I read one of those topics and found that my legacy had nearly every single one of those 'hated' things and I can totally picture other new writers realizing the same thing and then deleting the legacy because they are embarassed to have so many 'unliked' things in the legacy. :(

Anyways... I can't wait for your squeaky clean update... whenever it comes.
:D

Now see, THAT sounds a bit more like Cassidy, except he usually rolls the WooHoo Current Date Want, and once that's over, then it's Buy Me Fun Crap and Date A Bunch Of Other Guys.

Bummer about the earthquake. Didn't feel a thing down here.

I hope your nose is OK. I had a professor who broke his nose once, and his face was one gigantic bruise, but the vomit-colored tie drew the attention away from it.

Well, that. . sounds like a possible solution.

The earthquake was very moderate--only a 4.5, and it was out in San Berdoo. Apparantly people felt it as far away as LA, but really what I mostly noticed was the loud BOOM. The cats froze, made themselves look big, and then ran to hide under some stuff.

Probably Cass would have rolled "WooHoo Jimmy," except he didn't seem that interested and I didn't press it.

I didn't feel the earthquake either, but it sounds as though everything's okay, so that's good. You have every right to be nervous at the dermatologist, especially if they spring something like that on you.

Speaking of the early chapters of your Legacy, you've got an anniversary coming up, haven't you? An SC update would be a lovely birthday present! ^_^

Hm, yeah, I guess I do. I checked, and SC was first published January 7, 2007, and the first Boolprop entry is January 24, 2007. Scary, hm? I'm planning on finishing freshman year for everybody, shooting a few plotty scenes, and then putting together an update. You have a LOT of grandkids running around, including Cass, come to think of it, so I'm sure you'll be interested in their romantic futures.

Hey, we actually published at almost exactly the same time then. I think my first upload for the Pseudo Legacy was 1/6/07. I never realized that we started that closely together. I think Sarah started Piratical right around that time too. It's good to see that we're all still chugging away at it. :)

I do wish the 'What I Like/Dislike' threads would be a little more constructive. Unfortunately, people like to bitch without really thinking about what they're saying. I bet most of the people singling out things they HATE are offenders of those very issues.

Oh well. People like to bitch. :)
