I love your reviews, and you hit all the character notes right on the head. This is the best way you could possibly do a celebrity cameo (and from one of my favorite celebs of all time, no less; this season really DOES feel like it's specifically giving me all the things I love

Thank you so much! Weird Al was a good pick. It made sense from the point of view of working with the show staff, and unlike John DeLancie, he seems to be be familiar with the show and comfortable with it. However they did it, they managed to create a character with all of his schtick who also fit in pretty seamlessly with the world they had. I try not to sound too entitled when it comes to the show: gimme this, gimme that--but of course I've got my wish list like anyone else, and now "find an excuse to bring Cheese Sandwich back" is on it. There's not too much else, actually--maybe a brief return of Babs? The CMC wreck Manehattan? I got so much of what I wanted already with Daring Do and Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash

((Totally forgot I had a UHF icon. I should have been using it all along, whoops!))
I would LOVE to see him come back. And he really does feel like more of a good fit for return appearances than Discord ever did. Even if he just makes a brief, lineless cameo in the background somewhere, I think it would be fantastic. Fingers crossed!
That's a point, actually! The key DOES seem to come to them through a lesson learned, and it's always given to them by another character. I wonder if the keys are inherently magical, then, or if their lessons are somehow making them so?
I hope AJ's is the next one! It would be interesting to see what would cause her to almost abandon honesty. I think I know which one will be Fluttershy's episode, based on the few plot snippets I've read. But what I'm most curious about is how exactly they're going to work Twilight's element into this pattern...
