I have to admit that I was watching the Norma Shearer/Leslie Howard *Romeo and Juliet* when I wrote this, but still--Veronaville Romeo doesn't strike me as the type to give up anything for a girl. Also--definitely.
Really nice Prof. Made me feel so bad for Merc... He really just wants to be the happy goofy guy that we saw in Ori's turn on the round robin but as he puts it, Veronaville is pretty f'd up.
Ori wrote Mercutio the way he is. I played him for a long time before I switched over to Pleasantview and straight-up Legacy writing, and that's the way Merc naturally acts. If he didn't have to deal with the family feud, he wouldn't. I actually watched him go into Aspiration Failure over having too many enemies and fights: one of the few times I've seen the Desperation animations, the Paper Cup Buddy. And then I felt really bad about it. If he and Tybalt weren't already set way into the negatives (at least 50, if I remember right) and as enemies, they'd both definitely prefer to be friends. Certainly Mercutio would.
Veronaville is terribly f'ed up. Maybe that's the real reason Simmers often don't bother to play it. Some people actually remove it!

This made me LOL for real.
I really liked this and I agree that Merc and Tybalt are Veronaville's OTP.
