Twice today, a complete stranger struck up a conversation with me about GM's bankruptcy filing. No one seems to have anything to say about it around here other than, "we're all screwed." I'm not arguing with that assertion.

Police use taser on stuffed animal.

"There was a fear that ... it could ... endanger the community. We're out there to keep the community safe, by whatever means necessary."

This is the same police force that recently killed an unarmed 15-year-old with a taser, after he ran away during a traffic stop.

I, too, have a Dreamwidth account (which I may never use). I got it after registering my OpenID there. They may not hand out invite codes that way again, but it might be worth a try.

Gmail allows only one registration for any given username. Once you sign up for a particular username, any dot or capitalization variations are made permanently unavailable for new registration. Stencil has been moved to the physical therapy ward. So there is improvement.

I know we haven't been around much of late, but I know some of you still care....
My beloved Stencil had a stroke this Friday night. He is stabilized and seems to be getting more strength and function, but he will have a long hard journey back to "normal."
