CJ's cancelled her office hours today. Instead she's waiting for Phoebe to give her the extra help she needs to pass Speech. Yeah. That's it.

Phoebe shows up as planned and shuts the door behind her.

"Thanks, for this CJ," she said softly as she pulled her hair back. "Of course, I didn't know when I asked you for the extra session that I was ging to be kidnapped and terrorized later that week." She smiled. "I invited Cole so he can see what we've been doing."

She nodded hesitantly, and pushed a chair out of the way. "We need to step this up, then. If you can't protect yourself against things by the time we're done...I don't know. I'm so sorry, Phoebe. If I knew anything more than the physical maybe I could help more."

Phoebe smiled. "You're teaching me a lot. I was caught off guard by someone who acted like they needed help." She tilted her head. "Is there a way to defend yourself when you're tied up?"

[[That's pretty much what I've been doing, too. :) She told Cole this morning that she has been meeting with CJ once a week.]]

"Pretty much only with wit and persuasion. Take the rhetorical strategies we've worked with and try to talk your way out. I don't know...sometimes it works. It's worked for me a few times."

She began to stretch, these weekly workouts and the yoga doing wonders to keep her fit.

"Want to go through the warm up quickly and move on to what to do when someone comes at you with a weapon? Like, oh, I don't know...a broken vase?"

Having been asked by Phoebe to show up for the training session, Bel knocked on the door.

[ooc: leaving work in half an hour and will be home at 6:00 EST, just wanted to establish Bel as showing up.]

The sounds of scuffling and fighting come from inside...

Assuming it isn't locked, Bel quietly opened up the door and stepped inside to watch.

She grinned at Belthazor over Phoebe's shoulder when he walked in. Arm around Phoebe's chest, she rubbed her arm reassuringly with light fingertips, just to assuage the threat.

"Right Phoebe. The attacker is just as dangerous as the weapon...more possibly, especially when disarmed."

Letting go, she bent over to retrieve the wicked scary clicky eraser and twirled it between her fingers.

"Bel? You want to take a seat? Watch what she can do?"

Phoebe did a few stretches and deep breaths to finnd her inner calm again and then looked at CJ expectantly.

She went through a few motions and had Phoebe follow along, then explained the technique and why it worked. Simple really, same as they'd done up to this point. BUt now...now it was a little more serious.
