[ooc; I know I've still got things to tag, and I'm about to head to work and you are probably doing a million things today, but if you have time, tag! Love you!]The day had started off like any other lazy Sunday, waking up early with kisses and sweet touches before falling back asleep for another few hours, a late breakfast served in bed and a ( Read more... )

And Leif, in his typical eloquent early-morning-Danish fashion, cocooned up in his usual Sunday shroud of every blanket in the house, rolls over and blinks sleepily up at his husband, then remarks, matter-of-factly, "Mmmmfgah. Nnnkk?"

Leif's eyes are already closed as he's stumbling into the taxi, so the pat on his rear gets a bit of a startled squeak. But all is forgiven once he's nestled safely next to Adler in the cab, bouncing a little, eyes scrunched tightly closed. "I'm exciiiiited. Where are we going? Will there be brunch served?"

Adler curls up with him, laying his head on Leif's shoulder and holding his hand, or well, more playing with his husband's hand. "Was my breakfast in bed not good enough for you?"

Leif fidgets a little, then pillows his cheek on Adler's curls, wiggling his fingers happily. "It was splendid. For breakfast. I was speaking of brunch."

Moves his hand to dig his fingers into Leif's stomach, mostly being a dick but kind of tickling him as well. "I should have brought snacks for you, I wasn't thinking. I'm sure they will have food though."

"Who is the-- heyyyyyy." No tickling! Leif is trying to be good and keep his eyes squeezed closed, but they fly open at the tickly diggings into his stomach, before he sort of moans and falls over into Adler's lap. "You are the meanest."

"Leaves!! You are peeking!" Adler hurries to throw his hand over Leif's eyes as he topples into Adler's lap, looking around quickly to make sure he didn't see anything, looks like they are safe though. "You are the sneakiest."

Leif's next words are somewhat muffled, as he has his face buried in Adler's thigh -- "You tickled. When you tickle, all the rules are off." Then he wiggles away a little and noms at his husband's leg. "Are we there yet?"

Adler tilts his head down, watching to make sure that Leif keeps his head aimed away from the windows and starts rhythmically running his hand through his husband's hair, wiggling slightly at the noms. "Soon. Very soon."

Look, look, he's being oh-so-good and focusing on the hair-petting and the leg-nomming. His eyes are even still squeezed shut. "Mmmkay. Lemme know."

"Aye, aye, Captain." He says with a bit of a smirk, actually letting out a hint with that statement even if Leif wouldn't think anything of it. They are close though so Adler is able to keep Leif relatively preoccupied with his legs for the rest of the time. It isn't long before they are slowing down and coming to a stop.

"Keep your eyes closed, I'll come around to help you out of the car."

Leif isn't so good at the guessing -- he'll assume it's something Johnny-Depp-related. But Adler's legs are the best at preoccupying, so Leif actually makes a soft sound of protest when they go away. "Okayyyyy." Leif sits up, slowly, eyes scrunched tightly closed.

Adler quickly gets out and runs around the end of the car, motioning to the driver to grab their bags from the trunk and tipping him quickly before he opens Leif's door and puts a hand on his arm to help him out.

The wind and smell are probably the first obvious things, even in the harbor, the smell of the ocean is incredibly noticeable and it's only a moment longer before Adler tells Leif to open his eyes, setting him in perfect view of the large, elegant cruise ship in front of them.

"It's only for a few days..I packed for you. I probably should have said this would be a long kidnapping but I wanted it to be a surprise. I got Alyssa to watch over the animals, I know I've been preoccupied with Al lately and I thought it would be nice to get away, even if 'away' is just the middle of the ocean...I hope you don't get seasick...I don't even know if you like boats...." Nervous much?

Leif stumbles out after Adler, instinctively holding onto him and scrunching up his nose at the scent of the sea -- salt and fish and water and it's all so familiar that he sort of freezes, opening his eyes wide and blinking at the enormous ship. He's quiet throughout Adler's stammering, sort of nervous word explosion, just looking at the ship.

But finally he turns, blinking slowly, owlishly at his husband. "...did you get me a boat?"

"What? I--" They share a moment of confused staring at each other as Adler tries to shut up the nervous run of words still racing through his brain for long enough to comprehend what Leif said. When he finally does, he smiles and shakes his head. "No...it's a cruise. It's like a hotel on the sea, and they have these huge feasts for every meal and there is a dance tonight and fireworks and...lots of...other stuff. Um, yeah...a cruise."

Fortunately Leif's utter bewilderment is slowly -- veryyyy slowly, but it's happening -- giving way to delight, as he glances between his husband and the ship a couple times, eyes getting impossibly wide. Then, finally, in a comically high and squeaky-with-excitement voice: "Those are real things?! I thought they only happened in movies!"
