I am glad you thought so! I originally considered using Van Statten after his fall, but the chronology would not really work.

The fifth was lyrical and bittersweet, and it was nice to end on a not entirely grim note.

I did decide to end with something a bit more upbeat, after all the horrible things that happened to Lydia in this fic (and, indeed, in her canonical life as well).

Brilliant, as ever! I particularly liked the first and the fifth.

As regards the fourth, i fear that "Flesh and Stone" has forever ruined the Angels for me :/
