Ok. I'm really falling behind in Wednesday Book Promotion. And now I find out that just doing an Amazon search is yielding a whole bunch of copies of Rashi that aren't mine. Including a Kindle edition that uses my (admittedly awful) cover design.

So this Wednesday, I'm going to just promote my own book. The Wednesday Book Promotion book is Rashi

We do have a liberal president for the first time in 40 years and there's no way he's going to be the pacifist that the extremists covet/fear (depending on which side of teh spectrum they fall)

no one man can wake it from its slumber. Only the right political circumstances can do that. It is like the story of the Golem of Prague. The community was returned to the earth from whence it sprung, waiting for a time when it would be needed and called back into service again. Its actually an archetype I see far more commonly than anyone really gives it credit for both in fiction and in real life.

Other more hostile individuals might use the analogy I use to describe the political nutjobs who come out of the woodwork in election years...that the creatures have all crawled back into their crypts until the next war is on the horizon. but I choose to go with the former if its all the same to everyone else. I have rather fond memories of this community. It was the first political community I ever joined on LJ.
