that last part +1 so fucking much. i can't believe some of what i'm hearing and seeing online -- like i honestly thought we were, as a majority anyway, behind this kind of hatred. it's unwarranted and it's wrong and it's pretty much disgusting that people are acting like any country, ANY country at all deserves this kind of widespread disaster. i've also been lucky enough to grow up in relatively non-racist environments so seeing this kind of stuff firsthand is really shocking :( like idk. it's just so malicious, i don't understand how people can talk like that and not be ashamed of themselves.
And here I thought that when people said that we should stop affirmative action because it's not fair that some people can get into colleges while african americans can and people saying that "Being white is being oppressed" because they're no longer the majority in American was the last straw
( ... )
I am seriously disgusted at the amount of people who think that saying things like it being karma for Pearl Harbor or that anyone deserves a disaster like this. It's repugnant. I'm also disgusted with the people more concerned about their anime/video games/whatever than the amount of human lives lost. Check your priorities, seriously. Something not impacting you directly doesn't mean that it's not important, doesn't mean that there aren't people who are suffering and is certainly no excuse to turn a blind eye to it for the sake of your own personal satisfaction.
