I was expecting this. My activity has always been low in Comms anyway, but with G/Unk and Styles SH I guess I totally dropped off the Comms board. I'd like to get active in Comms again because it's one of the cats I've always felt I knew the best (although I'm probably rusty nowadays). I just find that there are rarely Comms questions when I'm looking, particularly unanswered ones. But I'll certainly try to be more active in the cat this year.
Sounds good -- we'll be glad to have you back. Poke at the board, get 10-15 links, email 'em to me and dalryaug. :)
And, as a general guideline -- I, personally, refrain from approving requests till they get to be about 6-12 hours old, and I don't write my answers until they're a day old, to help out with that problem. I can't make it policy or anything, but I understand how it's frustrating.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.
They varied based on the priv level. I looked at everyone at each level, removed the persons with the highest and lowest numbers of touches, and then averaged the rest. The cutoff was then half the average. For I1s, it worked out to be about 12 touches.
I also tried to factor in the activity at various checkpoints throughout the quarter; I granted more leniency to someone below the cutoff but who worked at a constant pace throughout the quarter, rather than someone who was right at the cutoff but hasn't done anything for the last half of the quarter.
If you've got questions about your specific case, or if you want help becoming more active in the category, email me and let me know what you want me to do, and I'll see what I can do to help.
