Character Stamps

I got my Legend of the Seeker and Harry Potter Character Stamps within a few days of each other. So. Here are my Stamps. I'm also using this post to see if LJ is done being aggravating yet.

I was Stamped as Lord Darken Rahl on peoplespalace, and Narcissa Malfoy on hogwartsishome. I think the two characters have several points of comparison, so it's interesting that I got

I think this makes a lot of sense :D Like you, I see similarities between Darken and Narcissa. They both want power, in both cases their families are very important to them...

The whole character stamping process is so fascinating ;D

Thanks! I agree - but I seem to be in a minority that sees a lot of depth and strength in Narcissa. The majority of fandom view her very two dimensionally in my opinion. But I suppose that could be said of most of the less than upstanding characters in any series.

I'll not wax poetic on Darken, as I'm sure we've both done that enough. :p

I'm suddenly tempted to write a Darken/Narcissa crossover AU. >_>

The majority of fandom view her very two dimensionally in my opinion. That's sad. I don't think she was cast very well in the movies - and, much as I enjoy Helena Bonham Carter's cuteness, I don't think she was right for Bellatrix, either - and that could be part of it.

But I always liked Narcissa in the books, and I think she's very brave to go against Voldemort at what seems the hour of his victory. It's hard not to feel for the Malfoys throughout book 7, and really as soon as Voldemort comes back...

Plus, I'm a sucker for the protective parent thing, and the 'my family, right or wrong' thing ;)

Darken/Narcissa AU would be epic :D

I think that Narcissa's actress acts well, but she doesn't look how Narcissa should. And... what did they do to her hair? I mean. What is that?

And yes, Narcissa is absolutely wonderfully brave, and really filled with a lot of depth. I keep toying with the idea of writing an essay entitled "Why Narcissa Malfoy is Awesome and Everyone Should Love Her."
