I love the banner. I'm not [yet] familiar with the fandom but the only reason I struggled with this a bit is because I'm so unfamiliar with the names both in particular and in general [that is, I find it harder to keep the Japanese names straight in my head than if they were Simon and Kara and Ian and Kyle]. The earlier post where you gave other fandom examples of the type of characters these map to was really helpful though.

Kagura vanished on the breeze, as if she really were the wind she commanded. I love your descriptions, as always. And it was a very atmospheric scene with layers of meaning I'm probably missing.

Thanks! I didn't make the banner - it's the one I got for placing in the challenge. ^_^

And yeah, I know what you mean about names. I'm good with Japanese names just because I was really into anime as a kid, but there's this one book series by Mercedes Lackey where the villains have these exotic names I kept messing up. It's Prince Zyperis and Queen Savilla, but for a while there my mind tripped over their names, so mentally I called them P-Zizzle and Queen SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Which made certain passages pretty lolarious.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the line! It's pretty strait forward - that character has power over the wind, but she also expresses a desire to -become- the wind, because the wind is free. ^_^
