Why do I love this? I love it because you didn't chicken out on the ending, you didn't twist it into any unbelievable way (I even actually bought Kahlan being attracted to him on a physical level, given that this happens before the series began and she had unfortunate personal experiences with Rahl), I love that even though she was lamenting her lot in life as a Confessor, that she didn't shy away from unleashing on him. And a lot of the little details, like, omfg I love this line:

She never told anyone how good confession felt. She was afraid she was the only one.They never outright discuss the feeling on the show, but my own personal fanon has always been that it's an intensely pleasurable experience, both for the Confessor and the confessed. It's a touch of pure love and devotion, so I imagine it creates a sort of euphoria for the touched, and Kahlan does talk in "Identity" about how difficult it is to hold her power in all the time, so for the Confessor it has
