Thank you! And yes, I think there will definitely be more Daria Rahl stories. :3

Is it bad that I feel for Daria here? Zedd's disappearing act - so infuriating.

I like the bit about her having a crush on Zedd when she was younger. I wonder how he would see Richard's quest differently when it's Mistress Rahl...in this fic at least, it seems like he dehumanizes her even more.

Also - does this mean Richard versus Daria? Conversion with f!Darken - a Mord'Sith Confessor? (I actually wonder about the magical side-effects implications of this).

Not at all! You're supposed to :P

And I think he does dehumanize her more, bc he has even more issues with Daria than he does with Darken. The whole "living reminder of my own arrogance/blight I inflicted on the world" thing is still there, but now there's also the whole Mord'Sith thing, and before Cara it's very clear that Zedd views the Mord'Sith as lacking humanity.

And yes! This means Richard v. Daria. And Conversion I think would go differently... But still happen. Maybe that will be the next Daria scene I write. ^_~

'In the low light of Tamerang’s treasure room, Daria Rahl glittered like a ruby."

T___T

AND HOLLLLLLLLLLLY RAHLTASTIC LADYPOWER, THE ENDING OF THIS IS FANTASTIC.

I KIND OF IMAGINE DARIA WOULD HAVE MAD RESPECT FOR RACHEL.

LIKE I THINK IF THIS WAS IN THE SHOW, THE AUDIENCE WOULD ASSUME THAT BECAUSE DARIA WAS THE VILLAIN, SHE'D HAVE RACHEL KILLED.

AND WHAT I THINK SHE'D DO WOULD STILL BE VILLAINOUS BUT LIKE

I FEEL LIKE DARIA WOULD CAPTURE HER AND HAVE HER BROKEN AND CONSIDER HER ONE OF HER MOST TRUSTED MORD'SITH IN TIMES TO COME. BECAUSE TO DARIA, THAT WOULD MEAN BESTOWING UPON HER AN ULTIMATE HONOR.

WHILE STILL MAKING HER OUT TO BE THE VILLAIN, WHICH SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE.

SO.

YES.

CAPSLOCK.
