I like how you can't you really figure out if Richard has been broken by Denna, because it could go either way. You know how he gets about love, just look at canon Richard, and then there's the hint with the white leather, but then Denna is standing there with the last Box of Orden, so that could also be some sort of sign that she feels she's...broken the world, since she thinks the entirety of it will be under her command soon.That's actually exactly what I was going for, so it makes me happy that you picked up on it - the subtle question of whether Denna and Richard are really in love, or whether she

And yes, I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, this feels like the end, on the other I am captivated by the idea of George Rahl, Proud Son of a Whore. And since the Boxes of Orden have been destroyed, that means certain people could return as banelings....
Wow. This is full of powerful scenes. I have to wonder what Richard and Salindra are going to do about the rift to the Underworld, though - since presumably destroying the Boxes caused it, as in canon.
Interesting that Richard still loves Denna no matter what, even though she's doing all this evil. It feels IC for him, since he loves her.
I think my favorite thing is how Cara gets the Boxes of Orden off-screen, no problems with Queen Milena or anything ;) The trouble all comes when she gets back to the palace ;)

What a great ending. Horrific and unexpected but powerful.
This feels like a final chapter, though I'm sure you could find ways to continue the story now Richard is in charge :)
